What data we collect and why

We collect a small amount of data, and only for straightforward reasons.

When you use the contact form

If you fill in the contact form on this site, we collect your name, company/organization’s name (if you supply it) email address, and whatever you write in your message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with anyone else.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site; which pages are visited, how long people spend on them, and roughly where visitors are coming from. This helps us improve the site over time. Google Analytics collects data anonymously and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Cookies

This site uses cookies — small text files stored on your device by your browser. We use two types:

  • Essential cookies are necessary for the site to work properly. You cannot opt out of these without affecting how the site functions.
  • Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics and help us understand how the site is being used. These are not essential and you can decline them if you prefer.

When you first visit the site, you will be asked to accept or decline non-essential cookies.

WordPress

This site is built on WordPress, which may set its own essential cookies as part of normal website operation. WordPress’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. Our hosting provider may also collect basic server logs including IP addresses as a standard part of running a website. We do not access or use this data directly.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not run advertising on this site. We do not use your data for any purpose other than what is described above.

How long we keep your data

Contact form enquiries are kept for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to and resolve your message, after which they are deleted. Analytics data is retained by Google in accordance with their own data retention policies.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to request that we correct it, and to ask us to delete it. To make any of these requests, please use the contact form on this site and we will respond as quickly as we can.
