Salty’s Pizza & Ice Cream
Salty’s occupies a spot with good local history, the former Village Creamery space on Martin Street, right next door to The James, and has made it its own with a combination that works better than it might sound: serious pizza and great ice cream under one roof.
The pizza is crafted from scratch using quality ingredients and described by the kitchen as a cross between New York-style thin crust and the Roman tonda; lighter and crispier than a typical American pie, and built for toppings that actually mean something.
Classic options sit alongside creative specialty pies like a four-cheese white, a porcini cream and roasted mushroom, and a burnt ends number with smoky harissa and parmesan béchamel.
