Agawam Boat Charters

Captain Ted Marshall has been taking people down the Essex River for more than 20 years, and every Agawam charter is private, for up to six guests, aboard the Reel Thrills Too, a 25-foot Parker sportfisherman.

Sightseeing trips include a two-hour cruise through the Great Marsh past Conomo Point and Crane Beach, sunset cruises, and longer runs to Gloucester or Rockport’s Bearskin Neck. Bring your own food and drinks, and Captain Ted supplies the coolers and ice.

Fishing trips on the calm waters of the Essex River and Bay suit first-timers and kids, with striped bass, flounder, and bluefish in season. Rods, tackle, and bait are provided, and the Lobster Adventure lets you haul a trap with Captain Ted. Reservations are required, though same-day trips can often be arranged.
